2009 Australia Day Citizen Awards - Yass Valley

Nominations for the Yass Valley 2009 Australia Day Citizen Awards have been extended to Friday 12 December 2008. If you want to nominate someone for their extraordinary efforts in our Community to be recognised as part of the Australia Day Citizen Awards, then you need to start now.

The judging panel will be looking not only at the duration but also at the quality of the service, including individual acts of compassion, generosity and bravery. The awards will be made in three categories:

a) Citizen of the Year
b) Young Citizen of the Year
c) Senior Citizen of the Year
d) Community Event of the Year

Winners will be announced on Australia Day, 26 January 2009 in Coronation Park. The Rotary Club will once again be providing breakfast in the park from 7.00 am.

Anyone who is a resident of the Yass Valley at the time of nomination is eligible to enter.

People who have previously been nominated, but have not received an award are eligible to be nominated again.
